Key West to Marathon

Great stay in Key West, wonderful time with Andrew & Peter.  1st few days, very cold and windy (so glad we traveled to Key West a day early!).  We actually ran the heater on the boat the 1st couple days… back to AC now!  Interesting, two boats arrived soon after us in Key West, having come directly from Guatemala (according to the dock hand), both had about 2 DOZEN 55 gallon drums on deck (gasoline I presume as they were outboards)… would be interesting to know their story, but we they left the boats at the dock, and we never saw them again.  Very nice stay in Key West, good food, walking, electric car rental to tour around the island, the old fort, Mel Fisher museum (treasure hunter who found $500 Million in treasure in the mid 80s (the loss of which (300 years ago) caused the Spanish govt to fail.  Glad to have Gwen back on board… she had a great time with the Niehaus kids in PA!  Smooth trip to Marathon… had planned to spend 3 nights, but looking ahead at weather, just one night here, then 1 at Key Largo, then anchorage near Miami.  Here is today’s Track
