Breaking Ice to Coinjock

We had a leisurely morning a left at 9:00.  We’re surprised to find meaningful ice (1/4 - 1/2”) that we had to break through for several 100 yards this morning (it was 22 degrees… so maybe not so surprising).  Be sure to turn up the sound if you watch the video.  Smooth trip in spite of low temps (warmed all the way up to 34… water temp was 33) and wind in the teens to low 20’s.  Beautiful scenery along the way, more Bald Eagles that we could count.  Safe and secure in Coinjock.  Tomorrow… long run to Belhaven.  Here is today’s  Track.
