Nice stay in Myrtle Beach… a good walk and dinner on board. We left at 8:00, well timed for 9:00 opening of Little River Swing Bridge. Beautiful day, arrived Southport (we’re now in North Carolina) just before 1:30. Nice easy run. Here is today’s Track . Sorry… no pictures today.

Nice stay at Wacca Wache, good dinner at the restaurant, nice people, and a beautiful area… we’ll be back…. May in fact be closer to Myrtle Beach Airport than Barefoot Marina where we stay “in” Myrtle Beach. We replaced our well (past well) worn flag with a new one (from our ship’s stock)… a much needed improvement. Nice easy run to Barefoot today, more beautiful Wacamaw river scenery. One swing bridge, nicely timed. Here is today’s Track .

Nice (but short) stay in Georgetown. Very good dinner at Rolling Local, and then breakfast at Brewed Awakening (I think maybe our only breakfast out this whole trip??). We had a short but beautiful trip to Wacca Wache Marine. The Wacamaw river is one of the most beautiful of the trip. We’ve stopped here for fuel before, but never for the night. The restaurant has a great reputation, and the dockhands are super friendly… so we thought we’d add a stop here. Took on fuel, $4.99.9 gal…. Vs $2.95.9 when we were headed south on 1/2… a big change! We continue to enjoy the journey! Here is today’s Track .

Nice dinner on aboard, quite night, and an early start (just before 7) to avoid low tide at Isle of Palms. Grey morning, that turned brighter as the day went on. Very windy (highest almost 40 kts), but no issues in the ICW. In this part of the trip, we see some incredibly long docks… zoom in on the 1st picture showing the boat house and super low tides (see 2nd picture). Looking forward to a nice evening in Georgetown, one of our favorites. Here is today’s Track

Nice stay in Beaufort, great dinner at Breakwater, grocery run, walking, etc. Left a little before 9 for Bohicket, and arrived about 6 hrs later a little before 3. Cool, grey day… no issues. My iPhone rebooted mid trip… so today’s track is missing some data (graphical is complete). Here is today’s Track Sorry… no pictures today… may add some later.

Very nice stay at SH Skull Creek, except for boat wakes, and the alligator at the end of the dock that seemed to be eying Cooper (we did see him multiple times, but no aggression shown… but just 20 - 30 feet away). Great dinners (2) at Hudson’s… great food (best blackened grouper ever) and atmosphere! Ron & Deb left Saturday afternoon after a fun stop at the Hilton Head Brewery. We enjoyed having them on board! We left a little before 10 for the short run to Beaufort, slow cruise and arrived at 12:15. Looking forward to a few days in Beaufort. Here is today’s Track .

Nice stay at St Simon’s… 3 mile walk to town, lunch, lighthouse, St Patrick’s Day Guiness, very good dinner at the restaurant (coastal kitchen) at the marina. Wednesday we toured slave cabins on a plantation, and more stroll around the village. Left just before 8 (to achieve good tide at Little Mud River). Nice trip, current help much of the day. Looking forward to dinner at Sunbury Crab Co. Here is today’s Track

Nice stay in Jekyll (inspite of wind and rain). Driftwood beach, cocktails at the Jekyll Inn, and dinner at marina. We left about 9 for the very short trip to St Simon’s Island where we’ll be for 2 nights (a new stop for us). Arrived before noon, 3 mile walk to “town” good lunch, lighthouse, etc and uber back. Very good dinner at restaurant at the marina (coastal kitchen). Here is our Track

Nice stay in St Augustine. St Patrick’s day parade, visit to distillery, lunch with the crew of Miss Betty (boat friends) at the Polish/Greek restaurants, and great dinner at The Saint! Also a maintenance day, oil changes in main engine and transmission, new zincs, pump out, and filled water tank. We left this morning at about 7:15, and arrived at 2:00 (slack current) at Fernandina (where we met Ron & Deb). Looking forward to having them on board for a few days. Here is today’s Track

Nice leisurely morning, departed a little before ten, then slow cruise… targeting 4:45 arrival (slack current at St AugustineNice). Beautiful morning, early afternoon squeal (40+ kt wind and rain), wind and rain slaeked off by the time we arrived, all well. Looking forward to a few days in St Augustine. Dinner tonite at The Saint (great Italian food). Here is today’s Track

Nice evening in Fort Pierce, we always enjoy the restaurant at the marina. We left about 7:40, and had a very nice smooth run to Cocoa Village (most notably home of I Dream of Jennie Fame). Gwen’s knee is improving, evidenced by the fact the she is taking Cooper for a (very short) post cruise walk to find the closest fire hydrant. Looking forward to a quiet evening. Here is today’s Track . Note: photos posted today were actually from a few days back… around Miami… where else would you see “car boats” and floating digital advertising bill boards.
Stuart to Fort Pierce

Nice couple of days at Stuart except… Gwen took a tumble getting on the boat (Cooper in one hand, big bag of clean laundry in the other hand), and hurt her knee. So… RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, & Elevate). Now 48+hours later, some progress, but still swollen, stiff, and very limited ability to get around. Our optimistic expectation is that it will improve over the coming days. Other than that… all is well. Fueled as we left this morning (10:45, and we were in Fort Pierce before 3). Confusing marina names… left Safe Harbor Harborage, and arrive Safe Harbor Harbortown. Here is today’s Track . As you can see from the marina mail room photo… we’re not the only ones who have Amazon packages shipped to marinas!
